Lt. Col. Charles “Chuck” Dryden, one of the first of the pioneering black World War II pilots known as the Tuskegee Airmen, has died. He was 87.

A dog costume contest will be part of this year’s Cabin Fever Festival, Saturday on the village green in Hamilton. The contest begins at 2 p.m., and this year’s categories include Space Dog, Super Hero Action Dog and Not Dog - for the dog that does not look like a dog anymore in his disguise.
